Dreamworld: Dreamworld is Australia’s biggest theme park. Around 30 kilometres from the Gold Coast, this entertainment centre has something to offer all the family — from the ABC Kids World featuring child-friendly rides, to adrenaline-pumping rollercoasters. If rides aren’t your thing, you can visit Tiger Island, surf on the FlowRider or discover Aboriginal culture in the Dreamworld Corroboree.
Surfers Paradise Beachfront Markets: Surfers Paradise is one of the Gold Coast’s most famous beaches. Every Sunday, Wednesday and Friday from 3pm-8pm, a night market takes place. Live entertainers and more than 100 stalls line the foreshore, offering food, fashion, jewellery, artwork, homewares and more. A visit to the markets is the perfect way to round off the day.
Tamborine Rainforest Skywalk: Just under an hour’s drive from the Gold Coast is the Tamborine Rainforest Skywalk. The 1.5km walk takes you through the upper canopy, and a cantilever bridge soars 30 metres above the glistening rock pools and rainforest bush. You can also enjoy the Rainforest Eco Gallery and the Birdwing café.
